Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Manali (2,050m)

  • Arrive in Manali and transfer to your hotel.
  • Explore Old Manali, Hadimba Temple, and Manu Temple.
  • Evening briefing about the trek.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Manali.

 

Day 2: Acclimatization Trek to Solang Valley (2,560m)

  • Trek through lush green forests and streams to reach Solang Valley, a beautiful area known for adventure sports.
  • Optional paragliding or ziplining for thrill-seekers.
  • Return to Manali in the evening.
  • Trekking duration: 4–5 hours.
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Manali.

 

Day 3: Travel to Leh (3,500m)

  • Scenic drive to Leh, crossing Rohtang Pass and Baralacha La Pass.
  • Upon arrival, rest to acclimatize to the higher altitude.
  • Evening stroll through Leh Market.
  • Accommodation: Guesthouse in Leh.

 

Day 4: Explore Leh and Local Monasteries

  • Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and the Shanti Stupa.
  • Learn about the Buddhist heritage of Ladakh.

Day 5: Excursion to Pangong Lake (4,350m)

Day 6: Begin Trekking from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (5,359m)

  • Drive to Khardung La, the starting point of your trek.
  • Descend into Nubra Valley, trekking through rugged landscapes with views of the Himalayan ranges.
  • Overnight stay in a traditional village.
  • Trekking duration: 5–6 hours.
  • Accommodation: Camping in Nubra Valley.

 

Day 7: Trek to Hunder Village

  • Continue trekking through Nubra Valley, passing Diskit Monastery and the famous Bactrian camel sand dunes in Hunder.
  • Enjoy a camel safari at the sand dunes (optional).
  • Trekking duration: 5–6 hours.
  • Accommodation: Camping in Hunder Village.

 

Day 8: Trek to Panamik (3,183m)

  • Trek through lush green meadows and small settlements to Panamik, known for its hot springs.
  • Rest and enjoy the natural hot springs in the evening.
  • Trekking duration: 5–6 hours.

Day 9: Return to Leh

  • Travel back to Leh by road, retracing the beautiful route through Nubra Valley and Khardung La Pass.

Day 10: Depart from Leh

  • Morning transfer to the airport for departure.
